About me
I’m a strategic UX Designer who works with a range of clients, from local SMEs to larger organisations on a mission to improve digital products and services. I’m happy leading teams and/or rolling my sleeves up and getting stuck in, as long as we’re collaborating on something that contributes to a positive change in our world and better outcomes for users.

The values I strive to work by
Where’s the ‘plus’?
Beyond ‘would I tell others about it’ (always a pretty good measure), it’s important to evaluate whether the work we do together has a positive impact. That might be as simple as supporting a local business. It might be as complex as helping tackle climate change.
Ethics matter.
Using dark patterns to fool users into action? Opting out of ‘sign ups’? No thanks. Those things just aren’t cool and don’t build effective brands or customer confidence and loyalty.
Ideate. Test. Craft.
Getting something looking great, meeting your business goals and satisfying user needs takes a little time and dedication. More often than not I’ll recommend starting off small and low-fidelity, and testing with your users. There’s nothing like proving something works (or needs tweaking!) before we commit to beautifully crafted design.
Outside of work
I dedicate a little of my time to Chairing my local Climate Action Network (Wotton Area CAN). Encouragingly, Climate Action Networks are now being established by like-minded people across the UK as a way for communities to address climate change and try to do something about it. Wotton Area CAN’s vision is to help Wotton-under-Edge and the surrounding villages become carbon neutral well before 2050.
