Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk redesign

I worked as part of a wider team in collaboration with Alzheimer’s Society to undertake a user-centred redesign of the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk sign up and donation website. The project led to a £2.9m increase in donations, 14,000 more sign ups for walks, increases in volunteers and people walking in as part of teams. Working as part of a blended client-agency team, my role focused on UX Design.

Memory Walk redesign and build

Alzheimer's Memory Walks take place across the UK, allowing people to raise money for loved ones and the charity in general. The site's objectives were to raise the number of people signing up to take part in a walk, increase the number of people walking as part of a team, and increase donations made to the charity.

Setting project expectations

Early decisions about what could be delivered on time and within the budget were made collaboratively in a scoping workshop.

We worked with our clients collaboratively throughout the project; building prototypes and planning how the signup and donation processes might work harder.

Applying a re-brand to the refreshed site

Alongside creating prototypes to test our hypotheses with users, we were also one of the first digital arms of Alzheimer’s Society to apply their re-brand.
